and Development
We control the combustion process to render it clean, efficient, silent, and flexible. We design and develop products to meet our customers’ requirements.
We are able to do this thanks to top specialists, R&D laboratories, and numerous testing stations equipped with fast, automated, and comprehensive measurement and acquisition systems.

Cutting-edge Technology for the Research and Development Laboratory
Baltur’s R&D Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, advanced equipment and workstations, and global supervision and data acquisition systems that allow for the rapid execution of projects, product development processes, and type approval activities.
The technologies adopted, which are advanced and environmentally friendly, make it possible to improve the efficiency of products, while at he same time reducing their environmental impact, and to design high-output, stable, reliable, efficient burners with NOx levels below 30 mg/kWh.
The combustion laboratory allows custom and tailor-made solutions to be developed to meet our customers’ requirements for their industrial applications.


Baltur burners are designed to generate heat continuously and to provide a very wide range of thermal load variation thanks to newly developed regulation systems, and fan assemblies that allow for the modulation and reduction of the absolute power level, resulting in fuel and electricity savings (exceeding 30%), for considerable economic advantages, especially for large installations and processes requiring hot water or steam 24 hours a day.

The Application Engineering Department’s mission is to develop and guarantee efficient and effective technical, design, and engineering solutions based on the customer’s specific requirements. Thanks to the company’s extensive experience and R&D laboratories, Baltur is able to offer custom solutions, minimising development, design, and production costs, while at the same time maintaining high quality and performance standards.
From the standard burners capable of guaranteeing extremely high performance with very low emissions, to solutions designed for special and non-standard applications capable of using Green and environmentally friendly fuels, such as: Biogas, Syngas, Town gas, CH4-H2 mixtures, liquid fuels of animal, vegetable and synthetic origin, and even recovered fuels.

The Combustion Laboratory is recognised for its excellence at the European level.
Equipped with new test tubes for burner development, including Europe’s largest test tube (25 MW), the Laboratory is even able to perform combustion tests with high output burners. In addition to combustion tests (including matching tests on commercial boilers of up to 10 MW), other tests are also performed, including ventilation tests, component reliability tests, and tests in temperature-controlled environments.

Training: essential element
to improve product quality
Training is an essential element for the competitiveness and improvement of products-services, an integral part of the Quality Management System. The Baltur Training Center promotes Webinars for sector employees, theoretical classroom and practical courses in the boiler room and refresher courses for its Sales Network, in Italy and abroad, and for its staff.
