CO KIT

Combustion control system allowing automatic adjustment of the air-fuel ratio

Plus

The combustion system with CO control (in addition to the O2 control) aims to reach the operating point at the lowest possible excess air (close to 1-1.5%) by constantly verifying the absence of CO production. Furthermore, with CO control, the best combustion efficiency is given at all times and automatically by the electronic system. This is because for each load condition the system automatically tries to reach the set point that simultaneously minimises both O2 and CO content in the flue gas. This means that the burner operates over the entire operating range in a totally autonomous manner, constantly monitors CO emissions and keeps excess air to a minimum at all times (see the chart on the following page as an example). This CO monitoring ensures optimal and consistent performance, substantial fuel savings and reduced pollutant emissions. With multi-fuel burners, there is the possibility of activating either CO or O2 control (CO control available ONLY for natural gas/LPG operation) depending on the type of fuel, by means of a chimney probe with a double sensor to measure both CO and O2 concentrations

Main features

– CO control in addition to O2 control with as little excess air as possible (1-1.5%).
– Continuous verification of the absence of CO production in the gaseous effluent.
– Automatic adjustment in order to simultaneously minimise the O2 and CO content in the flue gas.
– Combustion efficiency maximisation.
– Fully autonomous operation across the entire working range.
– Continuous monitoring of CO emissions.
– Possibility of activating O2+CO or O2-only control depending on fuel type.
– Availability of a chimney probe with dual sensors to measure CO and O2 concentrations.
